Your responsibilities will be:

- Develop innovative, disruptive technological or conceptual approaches within the multidisciplinary projects or themes of the RSSP unit;
- Participate in the design, implementation and execution of experiments in the laboratory and in the field 
- Contribute to the development of methodologies for integrating soil health into the management of contaminated sites and soils in collaboration with stakeholders across the relevant sectors ; 
- Develop and maintain the national/international network of partners;
- Develop research project proposals (regional, national and European) and support public policy related to the themes described above, and actively contribute to their implementation;
- Contribute to strategic reflection on the activity as well as to regulatory monitoring;
- Carry out tasks related to annual programs supporting public policies (methodological guides, best practices, and development of topics of interest) on contaminated sites and soils themes in accordance with regulations; 
- Contribute to the study of the influence of climate change on the management strategy for contaminated sites and soils; 
- Contribute to the reflection on implementing digital twins in the contaminated sites and soils (SSP) strategy;
- Publish results as scientific papers and patents, and present them at conferences (national and/or international) as well as in reports ; 
- Contribute to the BRGM Training program (delivery of internal &amp; external training). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Desired start date: 01/12/2026
Degree: Master's level (Bac+5) or Phd
Experience: 5 to 10 years

You will notably draw on the following skills and qualities:
- Knowledge of the scientific and technical challenges and barriers associated with the theme of degraded soils (contaminated sites and soils and mining environment)
- Education in degraded environment management, particularly soils, earth sciences, environmental geochemistry, soil ecology;
- Mastery of the applicable regulations in the context of contaminated sites and soils (code, methodology and standards);
- Knowledge of current measurement tools for biodiversity, and for the behaviour of various types of pollutants in the different compartments of ecosystems; 
- Knowledge and mastery of soil assessment concepts at different spatial scales to analyze their consideration in strategic choices for the rehabilitation of degraded sites and land management in the context of climate change 
- Mastery of the main soil properties, ecological functions and services; 
- Knowledge of climate scenarios and impacts on environments
- Skills in designing, setting up, and monitoring multi-scale experimental setups and associated monitoring, carried out within research and development projects; 
- Proven experience in project development (regional, national and European) / proposal writing and in implementation of site construction / site reuse projects;
- Ability to apply a scientific approach to solve new problems; 
- Mastery of soil construction/site redevelopment techniques (following treatment/remediation of degraded sites). 
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (environmental scientist, hydrogeologist, hydro-geochemist, ...); 
- Initiative, organizational skills and autonomy;
- Ability to disseminate knowledge internally (supervising interns, PhD students, post-docs) or externally (training, conferences); 
- Writing skills and the ability to valorize scientific results (patent, high-impact publications, international conferences);
- Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, speaking).&lt;br /&gt;

- Appui et suivi dans le cadre du projet Trackdechets,
- Accompagnement/participation à tout projet lié à la gestion des sites et sols pollués en fonction des opportunités.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

 -Vous préparez un diplôme en ingénierie environnementale, en lien avec la gestion des déchets et la gestion de sites et sols pollués ;
-Vous disposez de compétences en droit de l'environnement, en particulier concernant les déchets et leur gestion ;
-Vous êtes capables d'animer et structurer des échanges entre parties prenantes ; -Vous êtes capable de rédiger des documents techniques clairs, précis et structurés.
