The main function of the GeoResources Department is the acquisition, production, conservation, enhancement and restitution of geological, geothermal and mineral knowledge as well as the development of tools, models and techniques related to these three fields.
You will join the GSE unit (Geothermics and Energy Storage), a multidisciplinary unit, which aims to improve knowledge to characterize and exploit the geothermal resource and the potential of underground energy storage. It also proposes optimal solutions for the integration of these geothermal systems.
The unit gathers about twenty engineers and researchers in order to characterize, model and experiment the thermal, hydraulic and mechanical phenomena of the subsoil, but also to ensure the dissemination of reference information, to support the geothermal sector and to put in perspective the territorialization of projects.
You will work on a perimeter of subsoil uses wider than geothermal energy (storage including CCS, mineral resources ...).
