The role of the Risks and Prevention Division is to develop scientific research, assist public policies and provide expertise to companies and the international community in the fields of natural risks (earthquakes, volcanoes, gravity, cavities, soil erosion, coastline, climate change) as well as technological risks related to the subsoil (geological storage, sub-surface exploitation and development, post-mining).
You will join the Coastal Risks and Climate Change unit, which works more specifically on coastal risks related to erosion, coastline evolution and marine submersion, taking into account the effects of climate change, for prevention, crisis management and territorial adaptation purposes. It is based on research carried out within the framework of mainly national and European projects that support national and international public policies and provide expertise.
As part of your duties, your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Contribute to developments in coastal hydrodynamic modelling for the characterisation of marine submersion hazard;
