BRGM focuses on enhancing geological knowledge and understanding of surface and sub-surface-related phenomena, with a view to meeting the challenges of environmental changes through innovative projects with societal implications.

This position is responsible for several missions within the Scientific Directorate, specifically the coordination and development of higher education initiatives, doctoral and post-doctoral programmes, and the HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) policy.

The role involves coordinating BRGM's various higher education activities across the full LMD spectrum (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) under the "BRGM Campus" label.

- Managing internal and external communication about the doctoral programme and PhD topics, with support from the Communications Department.
- Coordinating the PhD student and postdoc community.
- Maintaining strong partnerships with targeted doctoral schools.
- Representing BRGM in national and regional bodies related to doctoral policy, as well as in certain doctoral school committees.

The post-doctoral programme launched in 2024 aims to implement a set of incentive measures to increase the number of postdocs within the organisation. This involves monitoring these incentives in collaboration with HR, fostering the postdoc community, and ensuring communication around the initiative.

The position also involves coordinating BRGM's HDR policy and supporting researchers preparing for their HDR qualification.
